Mandate:
Preparation of an IDW S6 redevelopment report and taking over as interim CFO/CRO responsible for implementation, performance and revenue enhancement and management of the post-merger integration with the new majority shareholder

Client:
Medical technology, owner-managed group with global network of distributors, approx. €20 million

Measures:

  • Commercial management of the company with targets and key performance indicators (KPI) for all functional areas

  • Increased use of IT in the processes (ERP system, DMS, EDI)

  • Dismissing the third-party manager

  • Searching for and recruiting a new sales manager, sales staff and head of controlling

  • Ensuring a closer connection between the international distributors associated with a revenue enhancement programme

  • Revising the pricing and terms arranged as well as calculating costs

  • Holding negotiations with the financial partners and establishing bank reporting

  • Connecting to the corporate structure of the new majority shareholder (sales, development, controlling, corporate management)

  • Distributor negotiations in Asia and Southern Europe, supplier meetings in Asia

Success:

  • Reduction in losses in the transitional year by the planned 60% compared to the previous year

  • Successful realignment of the company with post-merger integration
  • Increase in efficiency by optimising processes with the use of IT
  • Company management with established controlling structures (commercial, technical)
